Professional women's basketball is coming to Greensboro! The Greensboro Groove's inaugural season will include 17 home games at Greensboro Complex's Novant Health Fieldhouse. The Groove compete in the UPSHOT League, which is designed to UPlift talent, strengthen communities, and create meaningful pathways for athletes, fans, and city partners. The UPSHOT League will launch with four inaugural teams: Greensboro, Savannah Steel, the Charlotte Crown, and the Jacksonville Wave.

The Carolina Cowboys made history in 2025 by clinching the PBR Teams Championship, becoming the first major professional sports team to win a title for the Carolinas since 2006. The team's annual homestand, PBR Cowboy Days, will return to First Horizon Coliseum Sept. 18-20, 2026.
