First Horizon Coliseum to host NC State vs Mississippi State Men's Basketball Preseason Game on Oct. 18

United Sports & Entertainment (@USportsEnt) is proud to announce The Preview (@thepreviewcbb), an electrifying college basketball exhibition set to take center court on Sunday, October 18, 2026, at First Horizon Coliseum in Greensboro, NC. This premier showcase invites basketball fans to get an exciting first look at two of college basketball's elite programs before the start of the regular season, delivering high-level competition and unforgettable moments.
 

The Preview will feature a marquee matchup between the NC State Wolfpack and the Mississippi State Bulldogs. These two programs bring grit, toughness, and talent to what promises to be a thrilling preseason matchup. For NC State fans, this will be the first look at newly-named head coach Justin Gainey, a Wolfpack alum and former star at Greensboro Day School. Mississippi State is looking to make a post-season run as they return one of college basketball’s most electrifying players in Josh Hubbard.

True to United Sports & Entertainment’s mission, The Preview will also incorporate meaningful community engagement throughout the event experience. Through relationships with local organizations, youth programs, media partners, and community leaders, the event will create opportunities to connect the participating student-athletes with the Greensboro community while using sports as a platform for positive impact.
